PentahoWorld Celebrates Regional Partner of the Year Award Winners

This year we celebrated our Regional Partner of the Year Award winners at a ceremony held during our first annual worldwide conference, PentahoWorld, in Orlando, Florida.

Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Richard Daley handed out awards to BizCubed (APAC), BNova (EMEA) and Oncase (LATAM) in front of 400 attendees representing 27 countries.

Our Partner Awards recognize the top achieving partner in the three reseller regions APAC, EMEA and LATAM based on business services, growth and engagement in the local market.

Partners’ contributions from around the globe have been an instrumental part of Pentaho’s 10-year success story. Much more than resellers, our partners are all Pentaho experts, providing the valuable technical and consulting services that ensure each customer project is successful.

 APAC Partner of the Year: BizCubed

BizCubed is a long-standing Pentaho partner in Australia and New Zealand. Their Pentaho business has grown very rapidly in the past year, delivering highly successful projects to companies like DeBertoli Wines and Westfield shopping malls. The team has also executed a broad range of marketing activities, which sees them continuing to grow the market “down under”.

EMEA Partner of the Year: BNova

Italy’s BNova has had a banner year, bringing on board several new Pentaho customers and substantially growing its big data business. Big data has now gone from being an emerging trend into an integral part of BNova’s business. Its recent BigDataTech event in Florence was highly successful, with more than 200 delegates keen to learn more about big data solutions.

LATAM Partner of the Year: Oncase

Oncase from Brazil has shown the remarkable ability to expand customer accounts by starting small and proving their worth. This, coupled with the great customer service they provide, has enabled them to significantly build their business in this burgeoning market.

More than forty partners from around the globe attended Pentaho Partner Summit 2013 (#PPSUMM13), October 3-4 in the beautiful village of Sintra, Portugal, famous for its 19th-century Romantic architecture and landscapes. The following video summarizes the two days in under two minutes:

To further help partners to maximize and monetize big data opportunities, the Summit included sales and technical training sessions focusing on different aspects of the big data ecosystem. During these sessions Steve Jenkins, Vice President EMEA of Hadoop distributor MapR, and Luca Olivari, Director of Business Development EMEA of MongoDB, the NoSQL database, explained how Pentaho supports these important and popular big data technologies.

Partner of the Year Award

The Pentaho partners that were the most successful over the last year, delivering outstanding customer success, technical innovation and commercial results, were honored at a gala dinner with the Pentaho Partner of the Year Award. This year’s winners were Italy’s BNova (EMEA), Brazil’s OnCase Brazil (LATAM) and Japan’s KSK (APAC).

 New partner program

The Pentaho Partner Summit 2013 was the perfect occasion to share more details on our new enhanced Partner Program in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America. The new program consists of three levels: Registered Member, Certified Partner and Premium Partner. Registered Member is a new entry level that makes it easier for new partners to sign up to the partner program. The main partnership level, now called ‘Certified Partner’ has been simplified. To reward commitment, Certified Partners that offer advanced services and sell successfully are eligible to earn the top ‘Premium’ status. These new levels replace the previous Bronze, Gold and Platinum and make it easier for customers to select the right partner for their needs.

Channel Partners – Carpe Diem!

In my first blog post for Pentaho, I would like to join our Italian channel partner BNova in a celebration. No, this is not about Italy’s recent elections (I don’t want to get involved in politics!) but a matter closer to my heart. On March 13, I will meet BNova’s Massimiliano Vitali and Serena Arrighi in London to take part in the IT Europa European IT and Software Excellence awards dinner in recognition for the ground-breaking work it did for its customer Infocamere. This is a proud milestone in our partnership with BNova, which was one of our very first European channel partners. We worked with Bnova from day one, helping the company design its business strategy, marketing plan and train its people to sell and support Pentaho with confidence. BNova has built a thriving, profitable business whose revenue has tripled since its reseller agreement with Pentaho began in early 2009. All this has taken place against the backdrop of Italy and the Eurozone’s tough economic situation, proving that its services offer public and private sector companies excellent value for money.

Seize the day, or the year!

Our CEO Quentin Gallivan recently blogged that 2013 will be the year in which many companies go into production with big data analytics. Thanks to the groundwork we have done together, BNova, which has thrown its support behind big data is now in pole position profit from this trend, which is emerging in Italy. You can learn more about BNova’s customers and services at the Big Data Conference in Rome on March 12.
